We chose Holly because she is a medium size dog (Grehound/collie cross?) with lots of energy and full of personality. She was at the BOW Valley shelter for over 6 months and is ~2 years old. Angus was getting very lazy and becoming a couch potato so we needed a companion for him, she has made sure he runs and plays lots. Angus has a wonderful laid back demeanour and has taught Holly that she doesn't need to protect her food or be aggressive in play (two areas of concern we were told about during the adoption process). Two months later and they are insepearble!
